We founded Paradigm because we kept seeing the same gap

After decades working in governance, risk and internal audit across the Big Four and mid-tier professional services — and as trustees and volunteer directors ourselves — we kept noticing the same thing.

Non-regulated businesses, charities and public bodies in Jersey, the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories were being left to figure governance out alone. Not because they didn't care, but because the firms best placed to help them were focused elsewhere. And when help did arrive, it often came in the form of junior teams armed with templates.

Paradigm Consulting exists to change that.

SECTION — IAN SILVESTER

Ian Silvester — Director & Co-founder

Ian has 25+ years of experience in governance, risk and internal audit across retail, professional services and critical infrastructure.

He supported the Risk Advisory Services team of a Jersey based professional service firm — growing it from four people to fifteen and building a GRC and internal audit practice that served government, commercial and not-for-profit clients across multiple jurisdictions. He served on the firm's Global Internal Audit and Risk Management working groups, contributing to the development of the global IA manual and the piloting of audit tooling across the network.  In addition, served as the Deputy Head of Monitoring and Reporting, under ISQM1, reporting into the global firm.

Ian currently serves as Internal Audit Manager at a Jersey critical national infrastructure provider, having previously served as Interim Head of Internal Audit reporting directly to the Board and Audit and Risk Committee.

Before entering professional services, Ian spent over a decade at a large UK Hospitality Retailer as Internal Auditor, covering more than 250 managed sites across the north of England and delivering savings recommendations in excess of £5m.

But Ian's governance experience extends well beyond the professional services context.

For over three years he served as County Commissioner — effectively CEO — of Greater Manchester North Scouts, with responsibility for 4,500 young people and 2,000 adult volunteers. He has chaired Jersey Scouts, served on The Scout Association's National Council for five years, and currently serves as a Trustee of British Scouting Overseas across 28 countries. 

He spent five years as a Grant Committee member of the Association of Jersey Charities, helping distribute over £1m annually to Jersey's charitable sector.

That experience — sitting on both sides of the governance table, as advisor and as trustee — is central to how Paradigm works.

SECTION — DAMON GREBER

Damon Greber — Director & Co-founder

Damon brings 25+ years of senior international GRC experience, including Big Four director-level delivery and multi-jurisdiction cyber governance expertise across financial services and beyond, including Group Head of Internal Audit experience.

His strategic oversight and deep cyber governance capability complement Paradigm's core GRC and internal audit offering — giving clients access to an exceptionally broad range of senior expertise within a boutique firm.

How we work

We keep it simple. Every engagement starts with a conversation — no charge, no obligation — to understand what you actually need. From there we agree a clear scope, a fixed fee wherever possible, and a timeline that works for your organisation.

We deliver every engagement ourselves. You will always be working with a senior practitioner — not a project manager coordinating a team you never meet.

Where engagements require additional specialist resource, we draw on a small network of experienced associates — all of whom we have worked with directly and trust to deliver to our standard.
